Well, it's been a while since my last journal. For those of you who don't know (or care), I'm Tony, the group founder and sole manager of this group.

I've been away for a while due to personal reasons (long story short, my 7 year relationship endend in April and I'm a bit depressed since then. Besides, as a cosplayer, it's been hell to create new art during this Covid-19 pandemic, because I don't have a good camera or a nice scenery at home, so I'm not taking many pics as I used to take)

As most of you probably have noticed, things are changing here at Deviant Art. Since the arrival of Eclipse, some old users left, others returned, some new users appeared, the reach of our posts is changed, etc. I also noticed even before Eclipse that a lot of BIG groups died out during this last months. This is pretty sad because groups are wonderful spaces to find, collect and share artworks with people with the same interests we have (And well, depending only on the hashtags or hoping to appear on somebody's main page somehow is not enough unless you're already a very popular artist... and for small fish like me, it is potentially frustrating)
--
That said, I'm here today to invite ANY of you who wants to try to keep not only this group but D.A alive to be a Contributor on DA-Athena-Sanctuary. The tasks are not that hard: Bringing us 10 new artworks from various Deviants every week and accepting pending submissions sometimes is more than enough to keep this group alive and maybe start a snowball effect. More people being active here will result in more people visiting and joining the group, and that will probably help a lot of artists to reach and know new people, and more motivated are the artists, more amazing art they'll produce and more art we get! Besides, Contributors are allowed (and encouraged) to submit their own art here too, so keeping this place alive also gives you a plataform to share your creations and get a higher reach. It's a WIN WIN SITUATION HAHA!

If any of you have the time and the will to help me with this little project, comment this journal or send me a note! Please, help me to keep the dream alive!

To finish this Journal in great fashion, here are some of the best pieces of art submited to this group so far. Show some love to the artists if you can! Sometimes a supportive comment is everything one must hear to be happy and inspired!

Well, it's been a while since my last journal. For those of you who don't know (or care), I'm Tony, the group founder. I've been the sole manager of this group for 95% of the time (Lady Marigold joined months ago and has been helping a lot)), and I'm here today because things are gettin' a bit tougher now.

Well, it's been a while since my last journal. For those of you who don't know (or care), I'm Tony, the group founder of Dashing-Cosplay. I founded this group 4 years ago after the owner of a group that I was a contributor (Cosplaying-Forever) left D.A and I felt frustrated with my "limited powers" there, so I decided to create a group of my own. I've been woking alone here 95% of the time (LordSchiffer joined the team months ago and helps a lot) and well, sometimes it's a bit tough, but the group grew quite a bit. As a member of tons of groups about cosplay here on this site, I can tell with no shadow of a doubt that Dashing-Cosplay is one of the most active groups online right now and I'm pretty proud of it. On top of that, being this group owner gave me the oportunity to meet tons of talented artists and new friends... and that's the whole point of the site, so I guess I'm doing it right!
